Resus and sepsis modular carts
Benefits
Thanks to a partnership with Medstor, RFiD Discovery is offering RFID-enabled sepsis and resus carts
Modular carts are tailored depending on their intended use. For example, sepsis carts include the ‘Sepsis Six’, a set of six tasks developed by the UK Sepsis Trust including oxygen, blood cultures, intravenous antibiotics, fluids, haemoglobin and lactate measurement, and urine output monitoring. The carts provide an effective way to take vital medical equipment quickly to the patient's bedside, while also being easy to store when not in use.
Real-time inventory visibility
Thanks to inbuilt RFID readers, each cart continually checks its own inventory and creates an alert when the required vital medical equipment is not complete. This provides real-time inventory visibility ensuring that carts are always stocked and ready for use, fostering a more responsive and efficient emergency response in life-threatening situations. Our RFID technology also empowers healthcare professionals to locate resus and sepsis carts and other equipment quickly to ensure that life-saving tools are readily available when needed, minimizing response times during emergencies.
Automated inventory management
Say goodbye to manual inventory checks and stock ordering. Our RFID-enabled resus and sepsis modular carts automate inventory management, providing accurate and up-to-date information on the availability of medical supplies. This feature not only saves time but also enhances the overall preparedness of healthcare teams, improving patient care.
Enhanced patient safety
Patient safety is paramount, and these smart modular carts are designed with features that minimize the risk of errors during critical interventions. By reducing the likelihood of errors in patient care, these smart carts contribute to enhanced patient safety, making them an invaluable asset in high-pressure healthcare environments.
How does it work?
Easily identified
The modular cart has clearly labelled drawers with relevant equipment and supplies. It has accessory rails and holders for a sharps bin, oxygen cylinder and files. Brightly colored with SEPSIS or RESUS written in large letters on one side, the cart is easy to identify.
Practical solution
Four strong castors ensure easy manoeuvrability. Cart also provides an extra work surface, with a further additional extendable section that can be used if needed. All in all, they provide an effective way to ensure everything is to hand for sepsis care or to provide emergency resuscitation, but are easy to store when not in use.
RFID-enabled
By incorporating RFID readers into each cart and fitting RFID tags on included equipment and supplies, healthcare professionals can optimize the management of sepsis and resus carts, ensuring that they remain stocked with essential supplies and are readily available when needed. This helps to ensure a high standard of patient care and safety in life-threatening situations.
