Expansion of RFiD Discovery's asset tracking solutions and expertise
RFiD Discovery is delighted to announce that its parent company, Paragon ID has acquired a controlling interest in Apitrak, a French company specialising in Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS).
Having already established itself as the market leader in the UK for locating assets and people within NHS hospitals, the RFiD Discovery solution has also been successfully deployed in several major industrial installations, and this acquisition in France will support the continued expansion of its RTLS offering.
Paragon ID and Apitrak commenced their partnership in May 2020 with the signing of an agreement to jointly develop cloud-based location tracking solutions. Over the past twelve months, this partnership has resulted in the successful deployment of multiple installations combining the best features of the RFiD Discovery and Apitrak systems. The multi-technology location tracking IoT platform has been adopted in medical and industrial environments, both in the UK and in France.
